Diamond Crystal  Jiffy Melt Ice Melter

Safer on Plants – Used as recommended, should not harm vegetation.  Too much of any deicer can harm vegetation.  As with any deicer, particular care should be used when grass and vegetation are adjacent to deicing surfaces as excess application may cause damage.

Deicer/Ice Melter Common Sense Tips

Jiffy Melt is used to remove snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots.  However, all ice melting agents may contribute to surface scaling of concrete.  Use only on properly placed and cured concrete.  Do not use on porous or improperly cured concrete, precast, concrete steps, stone, brick, mortar joints or concrete less than one year old.  To lessen the possibility of damaging concrete surfaces, promptly remove slush as it is formed.  As with any deicer, particular care should be used when grass and vegetation are adjacent to deicing surface as excess application may cause damage.

Directions for Use – Spread ผ -1 cup per square yard of Jiffy Melt evenly over ice and snow compacted surfaces.  Quantity and melting action will depend upon temperature and thickness of compacted ice and snow.

When ice and snow soften, remove slush and any excess melter from pavement for good concrete maintenance.

Reapply as necessary

Storage Information – Store in a dry place.  Close and reseal container tightly to keep product dry, or place in moisture proof container.  Jiffy Melt contains magnesium chloride, which is hygroscopic, thus easily pulling moisture from the air.
